Appletree Park in Cherrybrook is a lovely, newly upgraded green space that’s well worth the quick trip beyond the North Shore.
Completed in June 2022, the redevelopment introduced more than 120 newly planted trees, new lighting linking the park to the nearby shops, and a refreshed playspace surrounded by expansive grassy parkland. The playground sits at the heart of the reserve and features a climbing frame with multiple slides, swings (including a dual swing), and a seesaw, plus natural elements such as balancing logs and toadstools.
The setting is relaxed and open, with plenty of room for bikes, scooters, and ball games, as well as a covered picnic shelter and shaded seating. One of the park’s best conveniences is the easy walk to the local shops—perfect for grabbing a coffee before settling in. With free street parking right beside the playground, Appletree Park is an inviting, easy-going spot for outdoor play and picnics.
